Spiritual seekers know the importance of meditation. It allows one to be in the moment, to connect with the collective consciousness, to connect to Adonai. Buddhists claim not to believe in Adonai; however, it seems to me, from all I have read about Buddism, it speaks of G-d all of the time, just not in the same language, or perhaps with the same understanding the Abrahamic religions have.

If you have been reading my works, you know I am not trying to quibble or even argue, as this would be divisive, and the world needs to come together right now. While focusing on this theme, I have no problem speaking my mind - you might have noticed - and I don’t doubt some people disagree with some of my statements. In order to meditate, you must be open and calm. It is only when our minds and hearts are open we may begin the journey towards not just knowledge - although it is important - but also towards wisdom and understanding. For those Kabbalists out there, it is the triangle of Da’at, Binah, and Chochmah.

There are many ways to meditate, but remember, it is not as important how you do it as it is that you do it. Prayer is a type of meditation: some use music, drumming, walking, along with numerous other methods. There is no one correct way. It is in the spirit of connecting I am sharing some pictures I have taken of interesting, even miraculous things, which happen all of the time to each one of us, which we only notice when we are completely in the moment. Just for clarification, something is miraculous if it is not what is normally expected, if it is a familiar object in a strange place with no obvious way of arriving there, or anything or anyone which, when noticed, touches one deep inside, and they make us smile when they happen. Most likely, I have not given you a complete definition, but my goal is to start you on your journey, or join with you on this journey of yours towards healing and peace.

Any words, or poems of meditation, are original, and the pictures are ones I have taken. Some of these are also found in my books. Until one is at peace with oneself, one cannot be at peace with the world(s). Thank you for allowing me the chance to be a part of your life!

Spiritually Yours,
Laura Weakley

Kabbalah teaches us about the masculine and feminine aspects of G-d. The thirteen petalled rose has long been a symbol for the Shechinah. Shechinah is the name of the feminine aspect of Adonai here on earth. When Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden, the Shechinah went with them.

Breathe in deeply.....
Breathe out slowly.....
Breathe in deeply....
Breathe out slowly...
Breathe in deeply, and smell the rose.
Admire its beauty and perfection. Breathe out slowly...
Study the rose as you keep breathing in and out slowly.
Keep smelling the rose. It is sweet. It feels smooth and soft. It is beautiful. It is perfect. See the perfection of G-d as you look at the rose. Welcome the Shechinah to surround you, protect you, fill you, feel her love.
The rose is a present from Adonai, a perfect beautiful, and sweet smelling indication of the Shechinah. She is always accessible to you. Feel her love. Feel thankful for her love which you feel right now.
The rose joins you. You help it send out its sweetness to the world along with your love. With every breath in you smell, see, and feel all of the magnificent beauty of the rose. You feel G-d’s love through the Shechinah inside of you, and surrounding you.
Every time you exhale, you are sending your love, the sweetness and perfection of the rose, of Shechinah, of G-d out into the world.
Do this as many times and as long as you wish.
As you go through the rest of your day, see the beauty of the Shechinah all around you. Remember the love is inside of you too!

Copyright © Laura Weakley September 1, 2011
